My tagline for my blog includes living in the right now….

and unfortunately, in 2011 I didn’t live it out quite like I had hoped….
I found myself, especially in the last few weeks looking at the clock. I was ready for 2011 to be done.
I’m not sure why I thought once the year turned 2012 everything was gonna be okay, but I was craving a fresh start…a new adventure.
I had forgotten the words of comfort I discovered earlier in 2011 during my Bible in 90 days adventure.
22. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
23. they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentation 3

So I waited, each morning, still looking at the clock, the calendar, ready for 2011 to finish so I could move on.
I even chose my one word last month, but I felt restricted by the date on my calendar.
As if I thought the Lord would be restricted by the dates on the calendar….
so I started to implement my one word early (I know, it felt almost scandalous) but I was able to change my focus for the end of the year. It’s amazing how my one word for 2012 has already made an impact on me.
2012 is a new year, this is a new day, I’m ready for a new adventure.
So this week, join me, we’re gonna start this new adventure.
Oh, and while you’re here- hop over to my new endeavor…it’s gonna be an adventure for sure.
So are you going to have an adventure this year? Tell me about it? Let’s roll.

I love this!!
(But you knew that already!!)
I can echo your words about 2011. Actually, I think I used “cannot wait for 2011 to be over already” several times last month. It was a long year, from what I’m reading, it was that way for many people. I’m walking ahead, head held high, excited for God’s movement this year!
