Count Me Accountable- Even when I fall off the grid

After way too many weeks of not posting my weekly ins and outs, it’s no secret.  Laziness, Diet Cheats, and Vacation got the best of me.

I’m out of my routine.  I’m off my eating plan.  I’m back at square 1 when it comes to exercise.
I told myself when I was on vacation I wasn’t going to track calories, mainly because it’s hard to follow a specific eating plan when you’re camping with 15 of your family members. So I ate.  It was all real food, bacon and pancakes, meat and potatoes.
And I felt the effects of it.  My aches and pains came back.  I gained weight. I experienced the discomfort of bloat.
While the number on the scale did go up, it hasn’t been the deciding factor that things will change… how I feel has been.
My shorts aren’t comfortable, my scrubs for work feel snug, my energy is down.
So, here is where I pull myself back up by my bootstraps.
Sometimes for me, I have to be radical in order to get the radical results.

It is with butterflies in my stomach that I announce that I’m going to participate in a Whole30.  I’m starting it Tuesday.  In September, when we are having the 4×4 Challenge on MLG.  I’m crazy, but I’m crazy enough to recognize it is time for things to change.

Whole30 is a strict paleo 30 day challenge.  Almost like a cleanse.  I’m hoping by taking this challenge, along with the RESET on MLG, I can get where I need to be.

I’m hoping to track my meals both on this blog some, but mainly on Instagram.

One of my favorite rules about Whole30- No stepping on the scales in 30 days…It’s about so much more than weight loss.  I will be documenting via pictures and measuring by how my clothes fit.

I’m scared.  I’m afraid of failing and messing this challenge up.  But most of all I’m afraid of being sick and unhealthy!!

Ok Kristi, I’m intrigued. I downloaded the book on my kindle and am seriously considering a start for a week from today (I’ve got to have time to plan this out well if I’m going to have a prayer at making it happen). Did you sign up for the daily emails or any of the other tools?
