HelloMornings

I love the change that HelloMornings has made in my life!!  I’m very excited that the next session is starting soon and I’m honored to be part of the planning team for the challenge!!!

There is an amazing link up today of women’s tips and I thought I’d add mine here!!

1.  Go to bed!!!

The #hellomornings concept just does not work if I don’t go to bed at a decent time.  I found that this challenge is not about getting less sleep!!  It’s all about using my time wisely!!  Once my boys go to bed, I’m fixing to go to bed myself!!

2.  Have a plan!!

When I lay out my workout clothes and decide what I’m doing the night before, it goes so much better for me!!  No wasting time that morning fumbling through trying to find things (and waking up the littles in the process).

3.  Be flexible!!!

Sometimes things don’t follow the plan.  My littlest wakes up super early sometimes and I have to adjust my plan.  I find that anything goes in #hellomornings, roll with the punches!!!

4.  Be prepared!!

I have created myself a quiet time binder and a #hellomornings bag containing all my study goods and Bible.  I have my keurig all ready for me.  Whenever I’m in between specific studies I’ve been defaulting to SOAP notes.  I find that the least amount of thinking I have to do in the morning, the better my #hellomornings go!!!

There is truly no science to #hellomornings.  Work it and tweak it until you find something that works for you!!!

I can’t wait to jump in this time around! It’s the perfect time for me to set a habit. One that will stick…I know consistent quiet time is going to be essential of keeping the qualms of new motherhood at bay! Oh and the wonderful friends I have that love to support and encourage will help with that too!

I love mornings and can get lots done……but i’m struggling with getting up and always being interupted by the kids when trying to spend time with the Lord, so I’ve given up and just jump into work praying as I go. Any suggestions for that?….I can’t go to bed at 8 and I won’t wake up at 5 as I need the extra sleep…ahhhh!
