What they say is accurate about Whole30…the first week is hard. Really hard!! But I’m really happy to say that I haven’t had any intentional cheats (I say intentional because I bought some lunch meat not realizing it had some of the “no” preservatives in it. I was at work and it was the least offending option so I went with it.
I’m still waiting to see big changes, but I truly believe I’m getting there. I’m pretty sure I went through a gnarly sugar detox and had to deal with some caffeine headaches. I’ve wanted a pumpkin chai like none other, but am starting to handle coffee black with just a bit of coconut butter!!!
I’m just started Week 3 on Couch 25K yesterday. It’s not getting any easier, but I am feeling stronger. I waited to do it in the afternoon yesterday and I couldn’t believe how much it turned my day around. Endorphins are good!!!
I need to figure out something to do today (a normal rest day) because I’m participating in #livingandactive over at Peak313 and have committed to 4 days of exercise a week. I’m hoping to do a crossfit at home style workout today.

I have been hopping on the scale, just to see if there has been any results (but this is a cardinal rule of #whole30 to not weigh yourself). So for the next week I’m going to really focus on not weighing myself. Also, I am going to cut back on the raw sauerkraut (I think I had too much last week). Anyone eat raw sauerkraut? If so, how often do you eat it? I’m also hoping to add a little bit of kombucha (for something else to drink) and a little variety to my sauteed veggies.
I have gotten behind on my 1 Peter 1 memorization, hoping to get caught up on that this weekend (or at least modify the schedule for myself). I’m thankful for grace that comes from the Lord as I try to get a routine down with my #hellomornings. The ultimate goal in all of this is wellness!!
I’m so proud of my #4x4reset writers. This series is really fitting in to the whole theme of “back to school” and new beginnings and is working well with all the other things I’m doing (#hellomornings, #livingandactive). If you haven’t checked it out, please join us!!! This week has been filled up with some awesome guest posts by some of my favorite people!!!
So this is where I am!! I’m linking this post up with CMA (at Meredith‘s this month) and her Weigh in Wednesday post (even though I’m technically not weighing in!). I’m pretty excited for my goals this next week and hope to come back with even more energy at the next check in!!!

Wow, Kristi! You are doing so many things!
You’ve peaked my interest in the Whole 30. I am working on cutting out sugars and grains. It is tough, but I do feel much better for it.
It can be hard to stay off the scale. You can do it
Keep up the fantastic work!
